BATON ROUGE, La. – Prairie View A&M dropped Sunday's rubber match as Southern logged a 7-0 shutout at Lee-Hines Field in Baton Rouge, La.

The Jaguars scored three runs in the first and followed with three additional runs in the third and fourth frames for an early 6-0 lead. SU scored once in the eighth for the game's final margin and were never threatened as the Panthers could only muster four hits on Sunday.

Ben Blackburn fell to 2-4 on the season as the senior only lasted 3.2 innings of action. Clayton Orsak, Julio Baltodano and Cody Murray all saw action for the Panthers in relief.

The Panthers travel to Austin, Texas on Tuesday to face Huston-Tillotson beginning at 1 p.m.
