The Prairie View A&M women's basketball team hits the road on a historic trip for the University as the Lady Panthers travel to Alaska on Sunday to participate in the Carrs/Safeway Great Alaska Shootout on Tuesday and Wednesday.

In the first-ever trip trip to the America's northern-most state, the goal for the Prairie View A&M women's basketball team is to pick up two wins in the four-team tournament, which includes Alaska-Anchorage, North Dakota State and Utah State, and reach the .500 mark on the season after starting off 0-2.

The back-to-back defending SWAC Champion Lady Panthers will tip off against the Utah State Aggies (0-2) at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 20 at Sullivan Arena on the University of Alaska-Anchorage campus.
