The Prairie View A&M Panthers continue their five game road trip with a matchup at UAB tonight at Bartow Arena in Birmingham, Ala. at 7 p.m.  Tonight's contest is the second leg of the annual South Padre Invitational which began with PV playing TCU and Alabama-Birmingham on the road before shifting over to South Padre Island for the final two games on Friday and Saturday.

UAB is a member of Conference USA and begins its first year under new head coach Jerod Haase.  Haase, who came to UAB from North Carolina, is the fifth coach in UAB history and begins his first head coaching assignment on the collegiate level.  UAB is 2-1 on the season with wins over Young Harris College and Navy.  PV is the lone SWAC team on UAB's schedule this season as they played Alabama A&M last season.  This marks the fifth meeting all-time between UAB and Prairie View A&M and the first since 1995.  UAB holds a 4-0 mark in the all-time series.
