Football season is around the corner as head coach Heishma Northern, offensive tackle Tre Glover and linebacker Jerome Howard are in Birmingham, Ala. for the annual SWAC Football Media Day at the Birmingham Marriott Hotel. The media day will kickoff at 10 a.m. on Monday and features an interactive format as the event will stream live on the SWAC Digital Network also at 10 a.m. on SWAC org. SDN will also include a live audio link slated to broadcast 10:35 a.m. The SWAC will also announce the 2013 All-SWAC preseason teams and predicted order of finish during the occasion as well as the conference television and stream broadcast schedule.

The 2013 Prairie View A&M Panther football preview/prospectus is now available to view and download via PVPanthers.com. The prospectus contains a tentative roster, depth chart and an in-depth season preview of the 2013 Panthers.

Led by third-year head coach Heishma Northern, the Panthers look to rebound from last season's 3-8 mark as the team features an experienced roster in addition to a new defensive scheme.

Preseason camp begins on Sunday Aug. 4 with the first practice scheduled for Monday, Aug. 5 at 7 p.m.  The 2013 season opener will take place in Houston, Texas on Saturday, Aug. 31 versus longtime rival Texas Southern at BBVA Compass Stadium beginning at 7 p.m.  Season tickets for this year's PV athletic contests are also available by clicking on the above link or here.
