BOX SCORE One bad inning defined Sunday's game as Prairie View A&M dropped a key SWAC series to Grambling State by a 14-2 margin in Prairie View, Texas.
The Panthers jumped ahead 1-0 in the first as Grant Dougherty drew a leadoff walk and was driven in by Greg Salcido. However, the wheels fell off the cart from that point as GSU scored nine times in the second aided by a grand slam and a solo homer.
GSU added five more runs from that point as PVAMU didn't return to the scoreboard until the seventh as Robert Cossey drove in Dominiq Harris.
Salcido and Christian Krushall both led the way with two hits apiece while Chadd Flick fell to 1-3 on the season.
The Panthers are back in action on Tuesday as they will host Huston-Tillotson on Tuesday at 1 p.m.
