The Prairie View A&M Panther football team is halfway through its spring practice sessions as the team will practice Thursday afternoon at 4 p.m. followed by a situational scrimmage on Saturday morning at Blackshear Field beginning at 9:45 a.m.
Coming off a 6-6 season, the Panthers enter the spring looking to fine tune its offensive unit as the majority of their playmakers return from a unit that ranked as one of the nation's best. Defensively, the Panthers underwent a leadership change right before spring ball as new defensive coordinator Clifford Yoshida takes charge.
The Panthers will hold their annual Purple & Gold Game at Blackshear Stadium on Friday, April 11 at 6:30 p.m.
