Prairie View A&M dropped its series finale to Texas Southern by a 6-1 margin on Sunday afternoon at Tankersley Field.

TSU broke open a scoreless contest in the third with three runs and added another in the fourth via a PVAMU defensive error.  A two-run homer in the eighth upped the score to 6-0 before an RBI single by Robert Cossey in the bottom of the ninth scored PVAMU's only run.

The Panthers had a quiet day at the plate as Walter Wells and Cossey acconuted for the team's two hits.  A.J. Helms fell to 2-6 on the season as he struck out five in seven innings of action.

The Panthers will face the University of Texas on Tuesday evening in Austin at 6 p.m.
