PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – The Prairie View A&M University soccer team fought hard to 3-3 draw Sunday afternoon against Grambling at the PVAMU Soccer Complex.
 
Trailing 2-0 at halftime, the Lady Panthers (3-8-1 overall, 3-2-1 SWAC) battled back to take the lead. Sophomore 
Blair Lane pushed pass the defenders after an 
Alex Fields corner kick to score the first goal at the 48:45 mark.
 
Lane scored once again at 59:32 off of a penalty kick to tie the score at 2-2.  The Lady Panthers took the lead in the 61
st minute as 
Danielle Vargas scored her second goal of the season at the 61:02 mark to take the lead 3-2.
 
GSU (6-5-1, 4-0-1) tied the score on a penalty kick with 29 seconds to play to force overtime, where neither team scored in the two 10-minute extra periods.
 
The Lady Panthers offense played incredible for all 110 minutes owning a 22-10 shot advantage over Grambling in the contest. Freshman 
Alexis Espino recorded an impressive collegiate and season high of five saves.
 
Prairie View A&M will return to action Friday, Oct. 13 at 7 p.m. when they host Mississippi Valley State at the PVAMU Soccer Complex.
