Prairie View A&M baseball has signed infielder D'Angelo Hinojosa during the early signing period.
 
Hinojosa (5-9, 180; Magnolia, Texas / Magnolia West High School) was named as a Powerhouse All-American selection in 2017 as a sophomore. Hinojosa comes from a talented family as his older brother CJ played at the University of Texas.
 
"D'Angelo is a right handed hitting third baseball who has a solid all-around skill set," said PVAMU head baseball coach Auntwan Riggins. "Defensively, he shows active footwork and always in great fielding position. He gets rid of the ball quickly and accurately. At the plate, D'Angelo has fluid rhythm and hits the ball to all fields, and has the ability to add power. He is a great addition to our program."
 
The 2019 Panthers will open the season Friday Feb. 15 in the MLB Urban Invitational / Andre Dawson Classic in New Orleans, La. vs. Alcorn at noon.
