PRAIRIE VIEW – The Prairie View A&M baseball team (0-5) is set for the first home series of the season as the Panthers host Texas College for a three-game series at Tankersley Field.
The series opener is set for Friday at 2 p.m., with a doubleheader scheduled for Saturday starting at noon.
The Panthers look to rebound from a tough mid-week outing at No. 21 Texas A&M. Junior
Andrew Paige leads the team with a .444 batting average along with a pair of doubles and a team-high five RBI. Freshman
David Garcia is coming off a memorable outing, picking up the first two hits of his collegiate career versus the Aggies.
Prairie View A&M is 10-4 all-time against Texas College. In the teams' last meeting, the Panthers swept a doubleheader from the Steers by scores of 9-4 and 13-12 on March 27, 2019. Sophomore
Alex Martinez had a standout day at the plate in those contests, going 3-for-6 with a pair of home runs, four RBI and three runs scored.

– The Steers (6-6) are coming off a pair of losses that interrupted a decent stretch where the team had won three of its last four.
– As a collective, Texas College is hitting .289 on the young season. Marques Irving and Carlos Collazo lead the way offensively, as both are hitting .400 or better this year and are tied for the team led in RBI with seven each.
– Brad White stands as the top arm in the stead for the Steers. and he is 1-0 with a 3.75 ERA and 13 strikeouts in a pair of starts.
