PRAIRIE VIEW –  Prairie View A&M women's tennis stumbled versus #23 Baylor, dropping a pair of 7-0 matches today at the Hurd Tennis Complex

Match 1:
Despite a hard-fought effort from Jessica Lackey and Ruju Chauhan in the No. 2 doubles match, the Lady Panthers were unable to snipe the point during tandem play. In singles action, the early struggles continued, with Chauhan managing a pair of games in the No. 3 match and Mahogani Green winning three games during the No. 4 singles match.

Match 2:
Victoria Fuenmayor Castillo and Green battled valiantly in the No. 1 doubles match but wasn't able to break through as Baylor took the doubles point to start things off. In the No. 4 singles match, Chauhan pushed her opponent early on but was unable to sustain momentum, as she and her fellow Lady Panthers were unable to steal a set on the day.

PVAMU is back in action Sunday at Sam Houston State. Match one begins at 11 a.m., and match two follows with first serve at 3 p.m.
