- The Panthers and Golden Lions have split their last 10 meetings, but Prairie View A&M has won three of their last five games versus UAPB in Pine Bluff.

Scouting UAPB:
- Nick Kreutzer anchors the Golden Lions and is off to quite the power surge, hitting .346 with three home runs and 10 RBI through the season. DeClaudio Irvin leads the team with 14 hits and eight runs scored, hitting .326. The Golden Lions' offense has been cooking lately, scoring 28 runs over the past two games.

- Tony Horn has been effective on the mound, posting a 3.65 ERA.
