PRAIRIE VIEW – The Prairie View A&M men's and women's track teams are set to host the 2021 Prairie View Relays this weekend.
One of the fastest-growing meets in Texas, the 2021 PV Relays will provide a proving ground for several collegiate and high school teams from across the state and region. Additionally, professional athletes are expected to compete as well, setting the stage for one of the most competitive meets of the 2021 season.

Start Time: Mar. 26, 2021 10 a.m.; Mar. 27, 2021 field events 9 a.m., running events 2:30 p.m.
Participating Teams: PVAMU, Texas Southern, Alcorn State, UNT Dallas
PVAMU Notes:
- Senior Ja'Sha Sloan goes into the meet ranked seventh in the country in the women's high jump.
- Freshman Jordan Deadwyler is going into the meet ranked number one in the SWAC in the 400-meter hurdles.
- Tristan Ham and Sunne Rodriguez-Weems are ranked one and two in the conference in the men's pole vault, with Ham ranking 13th nationally.
- Alicia Carter has been very impressive on the track in recent weeks, moving to the No. 1 rank among SWAC sprinters in the women's 400-meter dash while ranking third in the women's 200.
- Nathan Crawford-Wallis is ranked seventh in the country in the triple jump.
