- PVAMU comes in winners of six straight and most recently put together its best offensive outing of the year with 15 runs on 18 hits in a victory over Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

- Senior Xavier Jefferson has reached safely in eight of his past nine games and now leads the Panthers with a .344 batting average.

- Freshman Benjamin Ybarra is hitting .467 with nine RBI over his past four games.

- Senior Andrew Garcia posted a career-high six RBI during Senior Day, a 15-7 win over UAPB. Garcia is currently in the midst of a four-game hitting streak.

- A win would be the first in program history over Baylor.

Scouting Baylor:
The Bears boast the top hitting club in the Big 12, led by fifth-year senior Andy Thomas – who leads the team with 44 RBI – and second-year freshman Jared McKenzie, who is hitting .382 (4th Big 12), while leading the league and 2nd in the nation in runs scored with 48. Projected starter Caley has not allowed a run in each of his past three appearances.
