- Senior Kyle Smith has gone 7.0 innings or more in six of his past seven starts, Meanwhile, fellow senior Tyler Laux is 2-1 over his Panthers career versus Grambling State.
- Benjamin Ybarra is batting .388 with nine RBI over his past five games.

- PVAMU leads the SWAC in double plays turned per game.

- If the Panthers win two of three versus Grambling, they would take over the top spot in SWAC Western Division standings.

Scouting Grambling State:
Jahmoi Percival and Cameron Bufford anchor the Tigers' offense, as Percival leads the team with a .379 batting average to go with 47 hits, eight doubles, five triples, four home runs, 24 stolen bases and 35 RBI. Bufford leads the team with seven dingers and adds 28 RBI and 38 runs scored along with a .303 batting average. In all, the Tigers lead the conference with 31 long balls on the season.
