BATON ROUGE, La. – Three-point shots and a ton of turnovers proved to be a difference in the game as the Southern Jaguars outscored Prairie View A&M 13-0 from outside the arc, and scored 23 points off of turnovers that provided a cushion in a 89-52 Southwestern Athletic Conference win by Southern U., Wednesday evening at the F.G. Clark Activity Center.
Prairie View A&M (4-9) shot 43.9 percent for the game, and turned over the ball 33 times in the contest.
"We've got to take better care of the basketball," said head PVAMU women's basketball coach. "That was just too many turnovers. We didn't shot the ball well either."
