ATLANTA, Ga. - The Prairie View A&M baseball team opens up the 2023 SWAC Tournament play against the West No. 1 seed Alabama State at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, May 24 at the Russ Chandler Stadium.

The Panthers have made appearances in the SWAC tournament since 2017 and have opened against the Hornets twice out of five seasons.  Heading into Wednesday's game the Panthers enter the contest with a 15-14 conference record, while Alabama State enters with a 26-4 SWAC record.  

The tournament will be played in a doubleheader elimination format.  All of the games from May 24-27 are scheduled to be available live on the SWAC Digital Network.
