PRAIRIE VIEW, TX --The Prairie View A&M volleyball team secured a three-set sweep (25-18, 25-20, 28-26) over the UAPB Lady Lions Friday at home at Baby Dome.
The conference victory improved Prairie View A&M's record to 15-15 overall and 12-3 in SWAC action.
D'Mya Hill finished with 20 kills on the day to lead the Lady Panther's attack while finishing with a hitting percentage of .425. Defensively, two players reached double figures in digs: Leila Smalls had 21 and Tayler Ruffin had 12.

SET 1 | The Lady Panthers grabbed control on the first point and never trailed to secure the first set 25-18. Prairie View A&M led by as many as eight points at 17-9 before finishing off the set, collecting 16 kills while only registering two attack errors.
SET 2 | After their win in the first set, Prairie View A&M put themselves on the cusp of a sweep with a 25-20 victory in set number two. The Lady Panthers led from the opening point on in the set to earn the victory. Prairie View A&M opened up as much as a seven-point lead at 20-13 before finishing off the set. The Prairie View A&M offense also got a boost from five aces in the stanza.
SET 3 | Prairie View A&M took the third set to earn a victory by sweep. The Lady Panthers came out on top of a tight battle, winning 28-26 in a set that was tied 12 times and had six lead changes. The Prairie View A&M offense also got a boost from three aces in the stanza.
