HOUSTON, Texas --The Prairie View A&M Panthers rallied to score three in the ninth inning and walked it off on a two-run single off the bat of junior Tyran Norris to pick up the 15-14 victory over the Alcorn State Braves Sunday.
Senior Devin Aguado (1-0) got the win out of the bullpen for Prairie View A&M (3-0). The southpaw went 2.2 innings, giving up one run without giving up a hit, allowing no walks and striking out one.
Freshman Trenton Bush led the way offensively for the Panthers, going 2-for-3 in the ballgame with a home run, a walk and three RBI. Senior Marshal Jonas put together a standout performance at the plate as well, going 2-for-3 with a double, three walks and an RBI. Junior Garrison Weiss also contributed, going 3-for-5 for Prairie View A&M with two RBI.
