SAN MARCOS, Texas --The Prairie View A&M Panthers struggled on Tuesday, falling to the Texas State Bobcats by final score of 23-2.
Junior Camden Farmer (0-2) started and took the loss on the mound for Prairie View A&M (6-2).
In the batter's box, the Panthers were led by junior Isaac Davila, who went 1-for-2 on the day with a triple. Junior Lee Allen compiled a noteworthy effort as well, going 1-for-4 with an RBI.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Trailing 8-0, the Panthers first put runs on the board in the third inning. Davila came across to score the lone run of the inning for Prairie View A&M and get them on the board.
The Bobcats expanded their lead to 10-1 before the Panthers offense got back to work, cutting into that lead in the sixth. Prairie View A&M scored once on an RBI single off the bat of Allen, which brought the score to 10-2 in favor of the Bobcats. The Panthers were unable to get any closer, as Texas State added 13 runs to their tally on the way to a 23-2 final.
