Prairie View A&M Panthers Clinch Victory at SWAC Fall Tournament

The Prairie View A&M Panthers showcased a powerful performance at the SWAC Fall Tournament on November 18, 2025, hosted at the Oxmoor Valley - Valley Course in Birmingham, Alabama. The Panthers competed fiercely against other colleges in the conference in both men's and women's categories, leading to outstanding victories in both divisions.

In the women's division, Prairie View A&M dominated with a total of 647 strokes, marking a significant win. Micaiah Joubert led the team and the tournament with an impressive score of 151 strokes. Her performance was closely followed by Briann Briggs and Nevaeh Figueroa, who secured the 3rd and 4th places respectively with scores of 160 and 167. Fernanda Rendon and Madison Williams also made noteworthy contributions, tying at 6th and securing the 9th position.

The men's team also emerged victorious with a collective score of 590 strokes. Kenneth Melendrez was the standout performer, leading the tournament with a score of 140 strokes. Right behind him were Blake Meredith and Kolawoke Abudu, who finished 2nd and tied for 6th. Gage Gallo and Ethan Aleman rounded out the team's top performance by placing tied-14th and 20th in the tournament.

Looking ahead, the Prairie View A&M Panthers have their next challenges lined up. The men's team is set to participate in the Bentwater Intercollegiate from February 9-10 in Montgomery, Texas, while the women's team will compete at the Texas State Invitational in New Braunfels, Texas from February 1-3. Both teams are preparing intensively to maintain their winning streak and uphold the high competitive standards they've set.
