The Prairie View A&M Lady Panther volleyball team will close out its 2025 home slate tonight inside the William J. "Baby Dome," hosting their final regular season match as they celebrate Senior Night. First serve is set for 6 p.m.

The Lady Panthers (record insert) will honor five seniors who have been instrumental in shaping the culture and success of the program — setter MaKinzie Taplin, middle hitter Adlene Jideofor, middle blocker Jade Coates, libero/outside hitter Leila Smalls, and outside hitter Kylee Owens. Together, they have represented Prairie View A&M University with pride, discipline, and a deep commitment to excellence both on and off the court.

Taplin, a four-year contributor and team leader, enters her final home match with over 1,190 career assists and 470 digs, providing consistency and direction for the Panthers' offense.

Graduate transfer Adlene Jideofor made an immediate impact in her lone season at PVAMU, tallying 72 kills and 67 blocks, anchoring the middle with power and presence.

Jade Coates has grown into a reliable force at the net throughout her career, contributing 65 kills and 46 total blocks while showcasing steady improvement each season.

Defensive specialist Leila Smalls has been a standout for four seasons, collecting 935 digs, 426 kills, and 52 service aces in her career. Her energy and leadership have helped define the team's defensive identity.

And finally, Kylee Owens, the 2024 SWAC Player of the Year and First Team All-SWAC selection, closes her career as one of the most prolific players in program history with 1,487 career kills, 1,149 digs, and 1,731 total points. Her elite play has helped elevate the Panthers to championship contention in recent seasons.
Head Coach Atoy Wilson praised the group for their contributions and lasting impact.

"This senior class has been special — not just because of their numbers, but because of their leadership, heart, and passion for this program," Head Volleyball Coach Dottie Hampton said. "They've laid a foundation that will continue to push Prairie View Volleyball forward."

Following tonight's match, the Lady Panthers will turn their focus to the upcoming SWAC Volleyball Championship, where they look to make a deep run behind their experienced senior core.

Fans are encouraged to come out and support these exceptional student-athletes as they take the court for the final time at home — celebrating their accomplishments and the legacy they leave behind.
