HOUSTON, Texas --The Prairie View A&M Panthers struggled on Sunday, falling to the Southern Jaguars 12-2 despite the efforts of sophomore Ahmar Donatto, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Senior Tyson Carlton (0-1) got the ball to start for Prairie View A&M (1-2) and took the loss.
In the batter's box, the Panthers were paced by Donatto, who went 2-for-3 on the day with two RBI.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Trailing 9-0, the Panthers first put runs on the board in the sixth inning. Donatto drove in two runs for Prairie View A&M with a single, that scored sophomore Landon Williams and sophomore Jordan Williams. The Panthers were unable to get any closer, as Southern added three runs to their tally on the way to a 12-2 final.
