Prairie View A&M is set to host the prestigious 91st annual PV Relays on March 21-22,2025 at the PVAMU Track and Field Stadium, marking a significant event in the Panthers' sports calendar. This year's event promises exceptional performances as it features a diverse lineup of participants, including 19 colleges on Friday and 56 high schools on Saturday, showcasing a vibrant mix of young athletic talent.
The women's and men's track and field teams, coached by
Erik Dixon and
Chris Clay respectively, are gearing up for an intense home competition. This meet is particularly special as it honors the graduating seniors; nine men and nine women, who have significantly contributed to the Panthers' legacy in track and field. Their dedication and achievements will be celebrated as they compete in their final season for Prairie View A&M.
The PV Relays have been a cornerstone event for Prairie View A&M, with a rich history spanning over nine decades. As one of the oldest track meets hosted by the University, it has become a revered tradition that gathers substantial local and regional attention. Ultimately, this event not only serves as a competitive platform but also as a celebration of athletic dedication and community spirit, making it a must-watch for sports enthusiasts and supporters of the Panthers.
Tickets are currently being sold online, and will also be sold at the front gate of stadium. For those who are unable to attend the meet in person, the meet will be
streamed live on the PVAMU Athletic's Youtube page.
