PRAIRIE VIEW, TX--Senior Jayden Williams went 1-for-2 for the Prairie View A&M Panthers in a 15-3 loss to the Southern Jaguars on Sunday.
Sophomore Ahmar Donatto (1-2) started and took the loss on the mound for Prairie View A&M (6-16, 4-2).
Offensively, the Panthers were paced by Williams, who went 1-for-2 on the day with two walks. Senior Trenton Bush put together a noteworthy performance at the plate as well, going 2-for-4. Freshman Blake Hall also helped out for Prairie View A&M, putting together one hit in three trips to the plate while adding an RBI.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Trailing 2-0, the Panthers first put runs on the board in the third inning. Hall came across to score the lone run of the inning for Prairie View A&M and get them on the board.
The Jaguars expanded their lead to 3-1 before the Panthers offense got back to work, tying it up in the fourth. Prairie View A&M managed to push across two runs in the inning, which evened the score at 3-3. Southern then scored 12 times over the remaining four innings to break the tie and grab the 15-3 win.
