ABILENE, Texas --Sophomore Landon Williams went 1-for-2 with a home run and an RBI for the Prairie View A&M Panthers in a 19-2 loss to the Abilene Christian Wildcats on Saturday.
Senior Tyson Carlton (0-4) started and took the loss on the mound for Prairie View A&M (4-11).
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Panthers were trailing 2-0 in the second inning when they first put runs on the board. Williams put Prairie View A&M on the board with a one-out solo home run off sophomore Brett Lanman.
The Panthers deficit grew to 19-1 before their offense got back on the scoreboard, cutting into that deficit in the sixth inning. Sophomore Ahmar Donatto came across to score the lone run of the inning for Prairie View A&M, which brought the score to 19-2 in favor of the Wildcats. The Panthers were unable to get any closer, as neither team scored again in the ballgame.
