PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas --Junior Jorhan Laboy and sophomore Jafet Martinez combined to toss a shutout on Thursday as the Alabama State Hornets blanked the Prairie View A&M Panthers 11-0.
Freshman Kamar Dove (2-3) got the ball to start for Prairie View A&M (17-35, 13-13) and took the loss.
Offensively, the Panthers were led by sophomore Ahmar Donatto, who went 1-for-3 on the day with a double.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Prairie View A&M managed one chance with runners on third in the shutout, going a total of 0-for-4 with runners in scoring position. The Panthers last got a runner on third in the sixth, when senior Mason Heiskell made it 90 feet away from scoring with two outs.
The bright spot for the Panthers is Ahmar Donatto's 19 game hit streak.
