Junior defender Emely Reyes has earned a call-up to the El Salvador women's national team for the World Cup Qualifiers, a major step in her athletic career. A Houston native and civil engineering major, Reyes has proven to be a key contributor on the field for PVAMU, and her talent and dedication have now been recognized at the international level.

In 2022, she was a member of the El Savador U-20 National Team.

At Prairie View A&M, Reyes appeared in 5 matches during the 2024 season, starting 4 of them. She recorded 3 shots, including 1 shot on goal, contributing to the team's efforts on both ends of the field while maintaining a consistent presence in the back line.

As she readies for senior national team training and fixtures, Reyes also remains an important presence for the PVAMU women's soccer program. Her experience with international competition brings valuable insight and a competitive edge to the Panthers as they now look ahead to the 2025 season.
