PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – Prairie View A&M University Athletics is excited to announce the hiring of Daniel Dulin as the new head coach of the Panthers baseball program.
Dulin joins PVAMU from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), where he served as an assistant coach. With more than a decade of collegiate coaching experience at both the NCAA Division I and junior college levels, Dulin brings a proven track record of success, player development, and championship-caliber leadership.
Prior to UIC, Dulin spent three seasons at Southern University, where he played a key role in shaping a dynamic offense and solid infield unit. During his time with the Jaguars, the program secured back-to-back appearances in the SWAC Championship game, won the 2022 SWAC Western Division title with a 21-9 conference record, and claimed the 2021 SWAC Tournament Championship. Under Dulin's guidance, the Jaguars finished among the NCAA's top 25 in on-base percentage and consistently ranked in the SWAC's top third in categories such as doubles, home runs, RBI, slugging percentage, walks, hit-by-pitch, and fielding.
"We are thrilled to welcome Coach Dulin to Prairie View A&M," said Director of Athletics
Anton Goff. "He brings a strong foundation in building competitive programs and has demonstrated a commitment to academic and athletic excellence throughout his career. His energy, vision, and values align perfectly with where we are headed as a department."
Coach Dulin shared his excitement about the opportunity:
"I'm incredibly honored to take the reins of the Prairie View A&M baseball program. I want to sincerely thank AD
Anton Goff for believing in me and entrusting me with the future of Panther baseball. His vision for athletics at PVAMU is inspiring, and I'm excited to be a part of it."
"We're going to build something special here, focusing on player development and competing at a championship level; graduating our student-athletes and fostering a culture that represents PVAMU with pride."
"My family and I are excited to be joining the Prairie View community. I look forward to sharing my vision with our supporters and growing community involvement. Together, I believe the Panther baseball program has tremendous potential, and I can't wait to get started!"
Before his time at Southern and UIC, Dulin served as head coach at Highland Community College in Kansas and held assistant coaching positions at Murray State University, Hutchinson Community College, and Coffeyville Community College. Across those roles, he contributed to national rankings, conference titles, and record-setting seasons.
A former second baseman at Highland Community College, Dulin earned his undergraduate degree from Fort Hays State University and a Master's degree from Pittsburg State University.
Dulin officially begins his duties July 28th as he begins preparations for the 2026 season.
