PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – Prairie View A&M University is proud to announce that Tiffany Clark and Vernon Bland, have been honored as 2025 HBCU Sports Coaches of the Year. Clark earned Bowling Coach of the Year, while Bland was named Softball Coach of the Year during the annual HBCU Sports Awards presentation held Saturday, July 26.
The awards were part of a virtual celebration hosted by HBCU Sports, with Founding Publisher and Editor Kenn Rashad joined by Jarrett Hoffman and Christ Stevens to recognize the best and brightest across the HBCU sports landscape. The event honored outstanding achievements in 23 athlete categories, 12 coach categories, and 10 administrator categories from institutions across NCAA Division I, Division II, and NAIA.
Coach Tiffany Clark has long been a pillar of success in the PVAMU Bowling program. Under her leadership, the team has consistently competed at a championship level, earning SWAC titles and national attention for their performance, discipline, and teamwork.
Coach Vernon Bland has built the PVAMU Softball program into a formidable force in the conference and beyond. His commitment to player development and competitive excellence has brought accolades, strong postseason performances, and a winning culture to Prairie View.
