On August 30, 2025, the Prairie View A&M women's cross country commenced their collegiate season at the Stormy Seas Opener, hosted by Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. The Panthers emerged with a commendable fourth-place finish overall.
The Panthers were led by a notable performance from
Lea Murphy, who clocked a time of 20:56.72, making her the top finisher for the team. Close behind was
Christina Fitzpatrick with a time of 20:58.13. Both athletes showed strong performances, setting a high standard for the season ahead.
Maya Clark and
Nina Story also made significant contributions to the team's overall score, finishing their races in 21:27.60 and 21:30.92, respectively.
While the meet primarily focused on cross country events, the Panthers showcased their prowess across the board.
