HOUSTON, TX - The Prairie View A&M men's golf team competed in the Bayou City Collegiate Classic hosted by Rice University on September 29, 2025, at Westwood Golf Course in Houston, Texas. The tournament featured a challenging Par 72 course stretching 7,184 yards under the men's black tees setup.

The Panthers, faced off against multiple institutions in a competitive field. The weather was challenging but playable, with temperatures reaching 91 degrees and slightly cloudy skies overhead. Against the backdrop, the Panthers delivered a solid performance throughout the round.

Marshall Blake Meredith led the team, posting a score of 150, 6 over par, with rounds of 73 and 77. Kolawole Abudu and Kenneth Melendrez also turned in noteworthy performances, tallying scores of 159 and 160, respectively. Ethan Aleman and Gage Gallo rounded out the team efforts, contributing valuable strokes under arduous conditions.

As the event progresses, the Panthers continue to focus on their tactics and skills improvement, anticipating their next challenge. The team gears up for Round two, eager to leverage their experiences from the initial rounds to boost their standings in this prestigious tournament.
