The Prairie View A&M Panthers women's cross country participated in the UT Tyler XC Opener on September 6, 2025, in Tyler, Texas. This collegiate cross country meet marked an important event in the regular season calendar for the team.

The Panthers saw notable individual performances during the meet. Lea Murphy led the Panthers with a commendable 10th place finish, clocking a time of 20:01.95. Close behind, Christina Fitzpatrick secured the 17th position with a time of 20:24.38. Other team members also put forth strong efforts; Maya Clark finished the course in 21:14.04, Nina Story came in at 21:36.80, and Aida Kane-Diallo rounded out the team's performance with a time of 22:21.29.

Collectively, these efforts led the Prairie View A&M Panthers to a 5th place overall finish, showcasing their competitiveness and team spirit. The team looks forward to their next challenge at the Texas A&M Invitational on September 13, 2025, in College Station, Texas, where they will aim to build on their performances and achieve greater success.
