The men's and women's cross country teams are set to compete at the at the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Cross Country Championships on Tuesday, October 27, at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee, Florida.

The championship morning begins with the men's 8K at 8 AM Eastern, followed by the women's 5K at 9 AM Eastern. The Panthers enter the meet after finishing third in the men's team standings and fourth in the women's team standings last season.

Senior Thierry Garcon leads our men's team after a season that has included multiple first-place finishes and other top placements. Garcon has earned SWAC Runner of the Week honors twice this season. The championship also brings another chance for Garcon to build on two previous finishes near the front of the field: fifth last season and second in 2024.

Junior Lea Murphy leads our women's team into the conference meet, followed by senior Maya Clark. Murphy earned SWAC Runner of the Week recognition once this season, giving the Panthers a weekly conference honoree at the head of each squad.

Families, students, fans and staff can follow both teams remotely. Watch the meet live on SWAC TV, or follow the live results available online to keep up with our runners throughout the championship morning.
