The Panthers opened the series with a convincing 10–4 victory over the Jackson State Tigers on Friday. Prairie View A&M seized control early, scoring three runs in the first inning and never relinquishing the lead. The Panthers' offense totaled 12 hits, including multiple-hit performances from five players, while going 6-for-14 with runners in scoring position.
Corie Lockette led the way offensively, finishing 2-for-5 with a home run and two RBIs. On the mound,
Beau Beaty struck out five hitters, while the Prairie View A&M pitching staff combined nine strikeouts and limited Jackson State to eight hits.
Saturday's contest produced one of the most dramatic wins of the young season, as the Panthers rallied from a two-run deficit to defeat the Alcorn State Braves, 15–10. Prairie View A&M erupted for seven runs in the ninth inning to complete the comeback, with every starter reaching base safely in the win.
The Panthers collected 11 hits, went 6-for-12 with runners in scoring position, and drew 12 walks. Bassilio Williams paced the lineup, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBIs. Prairie View A&M pitchers combined to strike out 12 hitters in the victory.
The series finale against the Texas Southern Tigers was canceled due to poor field conditions caused by weather.
