Prairie View A&M track and field will host the 92nd PV Relays on March 27-28 at the PVAMU Track and Field Stadium, a two-day meet that brings a large college field to campus before a full day of high school competition. Nineteen colleges are scheduled to compete on Friday, along with 24 unattached athletes, making the home meet one of the Panthers' central opportunities to test themselves against a broad field in Prairie View.
On the day of the college competition, the day will also carry added significance for Prairie View A&M's program at 4:45 p.m., when six seniors will be recognized: Sanai Kintchen, Christina Fitzpatrick, Kaylan Woodrow, Anthony Mangram, Shawn St. Romain and Javier Gallegos. Their acknowledgment gives the meet another layer, with the Panthers set to compete at home while honoring athletes who have helped shape the program.
Friday's college schedule begins with field events at 10 a.m., followed by running events at noon.
Saturday shifts the focus to high school competition, with both field and running events starting at 10 a.m. at the same venue, extending the relays' reach beyond the college level and turning the stadium into a two-day showcase for the sport.
Fans that are interested in attending the meet can purchase tickets online, at the athletic building press box, or by calling (936) 261-3970. On the day of the meet, tickets can be purchased at gate 4 of the football stadium. The cost of tickets are $20/day.
The meet will be streamed both days on SWAC TV, with live results provided by Adkins Trak. More information is available at https://pvpanthers.com.
