Men's Outdoor Track & Field Season Recap

The Prairie View A&M men's outdoor track and field team concluded the 2026 season with a ninth-place finish at the SWAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships while producing several notable individual performances and additions to the program's record book.

Throughout the season, the Panthers recorded 37 personal-best performances, highlighting the continued development of the program across multiple event groups.

Prairie View A&M added five performances to the program's top-10 lists during the outdoor season. De'Trevyon Goudeau led the way, posting one of the nation's top 400-meter times. Goudeau clocked a personal best of 46.02, ranking No. 36 in the NCAA West Region while moving into the PVAMU all-time top 10 in the event. He also recorded an all-conditions top-10 mark in the 200 meters with a wind-aided 21.00 (+3.1).

Bryce McFadden earned a place in the program's top 10 in the 200 meters with a personal best of 21.12.

In the middle-distance events, Sebastian Cruz broke the four-minute barrier in the 1,500 meters, recording a personal-best 3:59.94 to move into the program's top 10. Thierry Garcon also joined the list with a personal-best 4:00.92 in the 1,500 meters.

Prairie View A&M capped the season with two podium finishes at the SWAC Outdoor Championships. Ronzell Woods earned a runner-up finish in the 400-meter hurdles, recording a personal best of 52.43 to claim second place. In the field events, Darryl Muckelroy secured a second-place finish in the pole vault after clearing 4.42 meters.

The season was highlighted by 37 personal-best performances, five additions to the program's top-10 lists, regional-caliber sprinting from Goudeau, and a pair of conference runner-up finishes at the SWAC Outdoor Championships, providing a strong foundation for the Panthers moving forward.
