PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – The Prairie View A&M Panthers return to action on Wednesday, April 8, as they host the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islanders for a midweek showdown. First pitch is set for 3:00 p.m. at Tankersley Field.

The Panthers look to bounce back following a tough weekend series against Florida A&M, where the offense showed flashes of power and production despite the results.

Prairie View A&M continues to be led offensively by freshman Ryland Duson, who enters the contest hitting .386 with 44 hits and a team-best 1.055 OPS. Duson has been a consistent spark at the top of the lineup, recording multiple hits in recent games, including a four-hit performance last week.

Corie Lockette delivered one of the most explosive performances of the season in the series opener vs. Florida A&M, blasting two home runs and driving in five RBIs. The Panthers showcased their power in that contest, hitting four total home runs and producing 14 runs.
