Prairie View A&M will send its women's track and field athletes to the 44 Farms Invitational on April 10-11 at Texas A&M.
Friday's schedule features the 200 meters, 400-meter hurdles, 800 meters, 1,500 meters, 5,000 meters, discus and long jump, setting up several early Prairie View A&M storylines. Mikyah McDonald is one of the key names to watch in the sprint group and is entered in the 200, while Lashavia Barclay will be part of the Panthers' push in the 400 hurdles. In the field, Sanai Kintchen gives Prairie View A&M a contender in the long jump, and Christina Fitzpatrick is slated for the 5,000 meters. The opening day also gives the Panthers a chance to establish momentum before a busy Saturday program.
Saturday should bring some of the meet's most intriguing matchups for Prairie View A&M. McDonald is also one to follow in the 100 meters, and Nikiyah Williams will be a key Panther in the 400. The relay events, including the 4x100 and 4x400, will add another layer to the team competition, while Nina Story is set for the invitational section of the 800 meters. In the hurdles and field events, the Panthers will also look for strong efforts from their event groups as the meet moves into its final day.
Prairie View A&M's depth in the field events could be one of the weekend's defining factors. Yasmine Rogers and Jada Standord headline the Panthers in the triple jump, Michaela Booker is scheduled for both the shot put and javelin, and Mariah Turner will compete in the high jump. That range of entries gives Prairie View A&M multiple chances to post strong marks across the two days, particularly in events where consistency and series-by-series improvement can shape the standings.
With live results and a live stream available throughout the weekend, the meet gives the Panthers a significant opportunity to measure themselves in a high-level setting in College Station.
