PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – The reigning Southwestern Athletic Conference regular season volleyball champions, Prairie View A&M Lady Panthers volleyball program has officially unveiled its 2026 schedule, featuring a competitive non-conference slate, exciting home match promotions, and a full SWAC campaign leading into the conference championship tournament.

Under the direction of second year head coach Dottie Hampton and staff, Prairie View A&M will open the season with a pair of preseason scrimmages inside the Baby Dome. The Purple & Gold Scrimmage is set for Saturday, Aug. 15 at 2 p.m., followed by the Panther Scrimmage against UT Arlington on Saturday, Aug. 22 at 2 p.m.

The PVAMU will begin regular season action on the road at the University of Arizona Tournament from Aug. 28-30, where the Lady Panthers will face Arizona, UC Santa Barbara, and UNLV. Prairie View A&M will then travel to Georgia Southern University for matches against Radford, Georgia Southern, and Eastern Kentucky.

Tournament play continues at Texas Tech University on Sept. 10-11 with contests against Portland State, Texas Tech, and UTRGV before the PV returns home to host Lamar University on Sept. 15 at 6 p.m.

Prairie View A&M closes out non-conference play at Abilene Christian University with matches against Stephen F. Austin, Abilene Christian, and Louisiana Tech.

SWAC play officially begins on Sept. 25 with a road match up at Jackson State before the Panthers continue conference action at Mississippi Valley State on Sept. 27 as the Panthers begin defense of their SWAC regular season crown.

The Panthers home conference schedule includes several themed match days throughout the season, highlighted by Alumni Weekend against Southern on Oct. 2, the White Out Match versus Alcorn State on Oct. 4, Dig Pink Match against Alabama A&M on Oct. 9, and the Purple Out Match versus Texas Southern on Oct. 23.

Additional promotional matches include Faculty & Staff Appreciation Night against Bethune on Nov. 6, the Black Out Match against Florida A&M on Nov. 8, and Senior Weekend on Nov. 13-15 against Grambling State and Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

The 2026 SWAC Volleyball Tournament is scheduled for Nov. 20-22 at Alabama State University in Montgomery, Ala., beginning with first-round action on Friday, Nov. 20.
