PRAIRIE VIEW, TX - Prairie View A&M freshman Ryland Duson put together an outstanding debut season in 2026, establishing himself as one of the Panthers' top offensive contributors and a deserving Second Team All-SWAC selection.
Duson started all 50Â games for Prairie View A&M and led the team with a .384Â batting average while totaling 73Â hits in 190Â at-bats. He recorded 40Â runs scored, 13 doubles, two triples, seven home runs, and 45Â RBIs while posting a .584Â slugging percentage and a .455Â on-base percentage.
Throughout the season, Duson showcased consistency and poise at the plate, drawing 26Â walks and delivering key offensive performances in critical moments. His combination of power, contact hitting, and disciplined approach helped anchor the Panthers' lineup throughout conference play.
In addition to his offensive production, Duson provided dependable play every game of the season, appearing and starting in all 50Â contests. His strong all-around performance and immediate impact in his freshman season make him a deserving Second Team All-SWAC honoree.
