Prairie View A&M wrapped up its final regular-season meet Saturday at the TCU Horned Frog Invite with a string of first-place finishes and personal-best efforts at Lowdon Track and Field Complex in Fort Worth, Texas.
The Panthers were led by Sanai Kintchen, who turned in a standout all-around day. Kintchen won the long jump at 5.86 meters and also captured the 100-meter hurdles in 14.07 seconds. Prairie View A&M added more depth in the long jump with Starrmia placing fourth at 5.42 meters and Lashavia Barclay finishing at 5.34 meters. In the hurdles, Kimora Maxey took second in 14.82, while Barclay also recorded a 14.82.
Mariah Turner delivered one of the meet's top performances in the high jump, clearing 1.70 meters to take first and post a personal record. The Panthers followed that result with a strong showing behind her, as Maxey and Raina Thomas both finished second after clearing 1.60 meters.
Treasure Bethea added another victory on the track, winning the 800 meters in a personal-record 2:12.92. Nikiyah Williams finished third in the 400 meters in 54.81 seconds.
In the field events, Kaylan Woodrow placed second in the hammer throw with a mark of 39.59 meters. Michaela Booker contributed in two events, finishing second in the javelin at 24.67 meters and third in the shot put with a throw of 12.85 meters.
With the postseason approaching, Prairie View A&M leaves its last regular-season meet with momentum built on event titles, podium finishes and personal progress across the track and field lineup.
