The Prairie View A&M men's cross country team showcased consistent growth and development throughout the 2025 season, highlighted by numerous personal-best performances, strong team finishes, and a podium finish at the SWAC Cross Country Championships.
The Panthers demonstrated their depth across the roster as multiple student-athletes recorded career-best marks during the season. Thierry Garcon led the way with a personal-best time of 25:18.5, while Kejun Wilson (26:59.1), Elie Smith (27:00.8), Cristian Rios (27:09.8), Eli Jacobs (28:07.7), Marcus Lewis (28:28.6), Christopher Korir (28:36.7), Jaiden Johnson (30:22.4), Messiyah Forte (30:33.4), and Jordan Smith (33:51.3) all established new personal records.
Several Panthers also turned in season-best performances, including Noah Green, who posted a team-leading season mark of 25:52.1. Sebastian Cruz recorded a season-best 29:30.2, while Javier Gallegos added a season-best time of 29:29.6.
The season's progress was evident at the SWAC Cross Country Championships, where the team earned a third-place team finish with 68 points in the men's 8K race. Garcon paced the Panthers with a fifth-place finish in 26:30.1, earning All-SWAC First Team honors. Green also secured all-conference recognition, placing 10th in 27:31 to earn All-SWAC Second Team honors.
With athletes throughout the lineup continuing to lower their times and contribute to the team's success, the Panthers built momentum throughout the season and concluded the year with one of the program's strongest performances at the conference championship meet.
