Prairie View A&M's 2025-26 women's golf season produced a series of milestones that reshaped the program's history, from a strong fall start to a breakthrough spring finish. The Panthers opened the season in fall 2025 by winning the SWAC Fall Tournament in November, then carried that momentum into the postseason, where they claimed the first SWAC championship in school history and advanced to the NCAA Regionals for the first time.
The fall tournament set the tone for what became a landmark year. Micaiah Joubert led Prairie View A&M with a first-place finish at 7-over, while Briann Briggs placed third at 16-over and Neveah Figueroa took fourth at 23-over. Fernanda Renodon added a sixth-place finish at 26-over, and Madison Williams rounded out the Panthers' top group in ninth at 30-over. That performance gave Prairie View A&M an early championship and established the depth that would define the roster throughout the year.
The Panthers' biggest statement came at the SWAC Championships in April. Prairie View A&M won the team title at 76-over, securing the conference crown for the first time. Kacey Menyoli finished tied for first individually at 16-over to lead the effort, while Neveah Figueroa and Micaiah Joubert both tied for fifth at 20-over. Fernanda Rendon also finished tied for fifth at 20-over, and Madison Williams placed 16th at 36-over. The result delivered the program's long-awaited breakthrough and punched its ticket to postseason play beyond the conference level.
Prairie View A&M also saw several players string together notable individual seasons. Ferdanda Rendon posted top-10 finishes across multiple events, placing fifth at the SWAC Championships, fifth at the National Women's Collegiate Golf Championship, sixth at the SWAC Fall Tournament and 10th at the Tiger Fall Classic. Neveah Figueroa added a fourth-place finish at the SWAC Fall Tournament, tied for fifth at the SWAC Championships and a sixth-place showing at the Tiger Fall Classic. Madison Williams recorded ninth-place finishes at both the SWAC Fall Tournament and the Tiger Fall Classic, while Kacey Menyoli's tie for first at the conference championship and earning SWAC Second Team honors stood as one of the season's defining individual performances.
The Panthers made more history in May 2026 when they competed at the NCAA Regionals in Waco, Texas, at Ridgewood Country Club. Reaching the regional round marked another first for the program and served as the clearest measure of how far the team had advanced over the course of the year. After beginning the season with a conference tournament win in the fall, Prairie View A&M finished it on a national stage.
Much of that rise came under first-year head coach Kortland Ware, whose debut season ended with both team and individual accomplishments. Prairie View A&M not only collected trophies, but also built a postseason identity around consistent top finishes and balanced scoring across the lineup. With a SWAC Fall Tournament title, the program's first SWAC championship and its first NCAA regional appearance, the 2025-26 season stands as a benchmark year for Panthers women's golf.
