LUBBOCK, Texas – During the Red Raider Invite hosted by Texas Tech, Prairie View A&M indoor track members set personal-best marks.
Two Lady Panthers earned top ten finishes. Sophomore
Alicia Carter placed third with a time of 58:08 in the 400m dash, while junior
Sydnee Mitchell-Jemison posted a personal best in the 200 with a time of 26.03. In the women's 600 yard run senior
Husniyyah Rogers placed 7
th with a time of 1:26.67. Sophomore
Darlene Samuels set a personal best time of 1:29.33 also in the 600 and a 14
th place finish.

Dinah Murphy also set a personal best in the 600 yard run with a time of 1:29.71. The Lady Panthers other top ten performance came from the 4x400 relay team of Rogers, Murphy, Jemison and Carter with a season best time of 3:55.48. Sophomore
Devynn King had a personal best in the 60m dash posting a time of 7.88.
In the men's meet, senior Sam Omeora earned a sixth place finish in the 60m dash posting a time of 6.89. Freshman Damon Cobb achieved a career-best in the 400 meter dash by placing seventh with a time of 49.42. In the 110H sophomore Jason Mabry placed eighth with a time of 15.25, while junior
Jovondi Williams placed sixth in the weight throw event with a career-best distance of 15.86m (52'0.5").
The Panther teams will return to action at the University of Houston Indoor Invite & Multi's Jan. 25-26 in Houston.
