Prairie View A&M fell 26-13 to Alcorn State at home Saturday afternoon.
The Braves improved to 6-5 on the year and 5-2 in Southwestern Athletic Conference play, while the Panthers fell to 5-6 overall and 3-4 in conference matchups.
Lamagea McDowell led all Panthers rushers with 42 yards in the contest, picking up 4.2 yards per carry. Chase Bingmon also added 37 yards on the ground, averaging 5.3 yards per carry.
James Burns pulled in six catches for 52 yards. Jeremiah Ratliff made his presence felt in the passing game, recording three receptions for 52 yards.
Kevin Davis showed out for the Prairie View A&M defense, collecting six tackles, 1.0 TFL, and one interception. Ahmad Robinson added one interception and Chester Geffrard had 1.0 TFL and one sack in the loss.
