Prairie View A&M Falls to Grambling 3-2 after 13 innings of play

GRAMBLING, La. --The Prairie View A&M Panthers fell 3-2 in a 13-inning marathon match-up to the Grambling Tigers Friday.

Junior Elijah Breeden (2-2) took the loss on the mound for Prairie View A&M (24-24, 13-9). The right-hander went 5.1 innings, giving up one run on eight hits, allowing no walks, and striking out seven. Junior Michael Dews started the ballgame and went seven innings, surrendering two runs, one earned, on six hits, walking two, and striking out seven.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Panthers put runs on the scoreboard first, starting the scoring in the second inning. Prairie View A&M scored twice, with one run coming across on senior Derrek Lathon's single. The Panthers were unable to hold the lead, as Grambling scored three times over the remaining 11 innings to grab the 3-2 win.
