Both women's and men's cross country teams are set to compete in the 48th Annual Rice Invitational in Houston, Texas on September 13, 2024. The Prairie View cross country teams will face a familiar challenge as they have competed in this meet for several years, continuously displaying strong performances against tough competition.
The event will see strong efforts from Prairie View's top athletes. For the women's team,
Lea Murphy and
Christina Fitzpatrick are expected to bring their prowess to the fore, while the men's team will rely on
Noah Green and
Thierry Garcon to make significant marks in their respective events. Women's coach
Erik Dixon and men's coach
Chris Clay will be guiding their teams through this highly anticipated event.
This meet's participation holds particular significance as it is hosted locally in Houston, making the meet a special occasion for local fans and supporters of the Prairie View A&M cross country program to be able to attend and support the team.
