The first half of the game was tense, with both teams playing strong defense, resulting in a deadlock with a halftime score of 0-0. The game remained scoreless until the 61st minute when Emily Apodaca broke through UAPB's defense to score the first goal of the game, assisted by Nia Wilson. This goal not only put the Panthers ahead but also set the pace for the remaining minutes. The Panthers maintained control and pressed their advantage, culminating in a second goal by Niasia Goodwin at the 90th minute, with an assist by Simone Sheridan. This late goal solidified the victory for Prairie View.
