PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – Prairie View A&M junior outside hitter
D'Mya Hill has been named the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Co-Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced Wednesday.
Hill powered the Lady Panthers to a perfect 2-0 weekend in conference play, showcasing her offensive consistency and leadership at the net. She opened the week with an impressive .733 hitting percentage and 11 kills on 15 attempts in a sweep over Mississippi Valley State.
The junior followed up with a dominant performance against Jackson State, posting 20 kills, four total blocks, and a .405 hitting percentage in a five-set victory that kept Prairie View A&M undefeated in SWAC competition.
Across the two matches, Hill totaled 31 kills, 4 blocks, and 33.5 total points, averaging 3.88 kills per set with a .493 hitting percentage for the week.

Dottie Hampton. "Her ability to perform under pressure and lead by example is a big reason for our success."
Hill and the Lady Panthers return to action next weekend as they continue SWAC play looking to extend their conference win streak as they take on Texas Southern in Houston Thursday evening for a 6:00 pm first serve at the H&PE Arena.
